Five Things that Inspire me

As I contemplate what inspires me and think of the first thing: Nature, I look for a beautiful photo of nature. My husband took this one a few days ago and reminded me that he inspires me also!

My family is definitely an inspiration. We share ideas and are excited to show each other our latest creations. We ask each other what we think. My husband is a musician and likes to get Zora (8) and I’s opinion about a new song he wrote.

Zora and I make a lot of things together, mostly fiber arts related. Visiting my family in France right now, my grandmother, Jacqueline and my parents, Myriam & Walter give me great feedback and ideas. Living in another country that I live in they have a different perspective on things.

Traveling has always been a huge inspiration for me also. It has been a great way to replenish my creative well. Again I think it is because I see -sometimes - very different cultures than the one I came from. It opens my eyes. I see other colors and patterns. It is possible that the joy I experience, from the love of traveling, helps inspire me as well.

The Northern Colorado community I live in is always inspiring me. Talking to downtown business owners as I shop and visit downtown Fort Collins almost weekly. Getting coffee with my friend Donna every Tuesday at the Little Bird Cafe, talking to people I meet or old friends constantly sharing ideas or hearing their fashion needs or their ideas of well made wearable art is fun and inspiring.
