Art During Travel
When I travel I always like to bring some projects, you knew that, right? Ha, ha, those of you who know me know that I am always working with my hands. Whether I knit, sew, weave,… I am always doing something with my hands.
So on this, almost three months long, trip I brought some small projects:
In the knitting category: - pink socks you may have seen, that I started in the plane, - a purple ballerina, short sleeved, cardigan that I started maybe 6 years ago, - blue socks that were almost done and that I finished for Tracy and mailed to her. - I ended up buying yarn here in France from my friend Fabienne who owns Palaluna and making a shawl. Check out her hand dyed yarns if you can! - I also made a small top for a child’s dress out of Palaluna’s yarn, I just need to add the fabric to the bottom part of the dress.
In the sewing category: I bought some fabric in the region and made patchwork pants, a shirt and bag. You can see pictures on my Instagram account.
In the weaving category: - I have scraps of yarn to weave a little bracelet on a loom that I need to make from a small frame with nails.
In this picture you can see my husband and I’s reflection with famous Lyon puppets, part of the Guignol story.
