Summer Camps

Grateful

Today I am thankful for our small Fort Collins and surrounding community.

After deciding to teach children and adults my fiber arts knowledge and tricks I am happy to say that the response has been amazing. Thank you all for trusting me to pass on these skills to your children.

I have focused on children’s summer camps and am ready to gear up for adult workshops in the Fall.

Teaching has been a passion of mine since I was working at Lambspun of Colorado twenty years ago for almost fifteen years.

In the past few years, making series of woven scarves, shawls, blankets, leather clutches, pouches, earrings and necklaces in the past few years has not left me a lot of time to teach. As I have mentioned before, in 2022 I set out to teach more. I planned on selling less at markets - which I am actually doing just as much and always enjoy very much.

When I met my husband twenty three years ago I found out he was a social butterfly. I was not, but seem to have become more social - possibly more than Brian - and that shows I think in my passion for markets and teaching. It is fulfilling to meet people and to see some of the same clients weekly, to create together, to see what other people make with their creativity and share my passion. Knowing how good it has been for me and my mental health feels like an important thing to share as widely as I can.

I also set out to create less inventory - that hasn’t happened either because when the creative flow happens I can’t stop it!
