Tapestry Weaving Kits

Working with Kate of Sunshine Lady Photography has been good for me! I get home after one of our brainstorm sessions and get right to work on an idea that she sparked in me.

This is how the Tapestry Weaving Kits came about. I love to teach and would like to explore teaching more, weather online or in person. Tapestry Weaving is a great introduction to weaving in general on a small loom with small pieces of yarn.

In hopes to be teaching again soon I started making these little tapestry weaving kits with leftover yarns that I have a lot of. Since I have been collecting small and medium scraps of yarn like this for almost 20 years, my kits are full of treasures. From shiny, metallic, textured, colorful, discontinued,… to fine and chunky. A good example of someone’s trash being someone else’s treasure.

In this society of over consumption and reckless waste this is a very important statement and example to share for me.
