Summer 2022
As I sit in my backyard, it is 10:30 pm and the air is cool. Cooler than in the house. We don’t have AC and I am grateful for that but the outside air is feeling good after a hot day in the garden.

Getting Organized
Inspired by all this organisation I have been purging my house and Piccola studio to give a lot away and thin down my collection of too many things.

Summer Camps
After deciding to teach children and adults my fiber arts knowledge and tricks I am happy to say that the response has been amazing. Thank you all for trusting me to pass on these skills to your children.

Money, money, money
Mostly I would like my art to be a gift. No money involved. I can say the same with my teachings.

Technology Versus Art
You guessed right: I prefer to be outside making art or even inside in the evenings knitting, crocheting, weaving, sewing,…

Spring Classes Kick Off
We had so much fun! I was excited to teach a fiber arts technique that I love: wet felting. And I got to teach it outside, in my backyard.

Commissions and Requests
It was fun to try and I am finding that I am very abstract in my creations of flowers. I am ok with that. I am also excited to try again maybe and see what else comes up when I think of flowers and butterflies. Stay tuned!

Friends & More
When I met Brian - 23 years ago this Summer - he was roommates with Arvo. So I have known Arvo for about one week less than I have known my husband. Pretty much the same time!

New Year, New Fun!
I am so excited to teach in 2022, I am slowly realizing that it might take me a few months - hopefully not a year - to fine tune my teaching calendar.
Little Zurich
Little Zurich at Wolverine Farm Publick House is a magical Winter Makers Market. Don’t miss it!

Teaching, a Passion
How I love to teach and look forward to implementing a 2022 class schedule to offer to my clients.

Winter & Knitting
Finding the next fiber arts medium I will be delving into, teaching my arts and crafts and more…

Handy Human
Sander, skill saw, tools, doing something outside your box and embracing mistakes…

Seasonal Trends
Today in my family we still celebrate common holidays but we focus on the local and handmade aspect of it and not the commercial, buy the latest plastic and unnecessary item made in China trend.
Market Life
Attending markets is something I think I will be doing for quite a while longer as I enjoy it a lot.

Wild Woman
Life is too short, we need to also have fun! If you do already, that’s great, then don’t go too crazy. It’s all in the balance, right?

Back in the USA
It feels good to be home and so exciting to have as many projects going as I do right now.

Routine and Making Art
Could it be this adventure mixed with a return to routine that helps me in my artistic endeavors? The yin and the yang?

The Pack Rat Artist
I inherited of a lot of great traits from my dad I think but one of the not so cool ones is being a pack rat.

Art During Travel
When I travel I always like to bring some projects, you knew that, right? Ha, ha, those of you who know me know that I am always working with my hands.
